Well done to our Youth!
In truly awful weather a hardy group of our teens from St Heliers and Glendowie parishes participated in a community planting day at Glen Atkinson Reserve project.

Last Saturday night brought together the fun and the fundraising, when over 100 of us joined quiz mistress Cathy Parson’s and MC Kerry Topp.
The St Ignatius Parish Centre was dressed to party, as were the teams, as we enjoyed sharing a glass and connecting with fellow Pilgrims of Hope, this jubilee year.
Huge thanks to Cathy and Kerry, all who attended, those who donated prizes for the silent auctions and raffles, and everyone who contributed to a roof-raising Saturday night.
We raised $4,560 to support the work of the Eastern Bays Parishes – an outstanding effort!

We did it! Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, we raised over $32,500 and delivered more than 325 Christmas hampers to families in need. Your support has made a real difference in the lives of so many this festive season.
The hampers were filled with essential food and household items and distributed through Te Waipuna/Sisters of Mercy, Glenbrae Primary School, and other trusted local organisations that supporting families. These partnerships helped ensure the hampers went directly to whānau, helping them enjoy a more joyful and less stressful Christmas.
Every donation, large or small, helped us reach our goal and brought people together in the true spirit of giving. It was a wonderful example of our parish community living out its faith through action and compassion.
On behalf of the Eastern Bays Catholic Parish, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every individual, family, and group who contributed. Your time, energy, and donations.
Let’s continue to care for each other and uplift our community, not just at Christmas, but all year round.

A wonderful gathering was held at Mother of Perpetual Help Parish to celebrate Father Doan’s recent birthday.
On August the 3rd, our parish community came together for a night of trivia, laughter, and camaraderie at The Great Quiz Night. This special event was organised to raise funds for the much-needed refresh of our parish center, and we are thrilled to announce that we raised an impressive $3,350!
The night was filled with challenging questions, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. Teams battled it out across various categories, with everyone contributing to the lively atmosphere. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, along with some new ones, all coming together for a common cause.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated. Your generosity and support have brought us one step closer to our goal of revitalising our parish center, making it a more welcoming and vibrant space for all.
